I am fundamentally interested in the relationship between humans and the environment. My research and teaching pursuits explore human interactions with nature and reveal perspectives and policy approaches supporting greater social equity and ecological vitality. I hold a number of research interests including longstanding projects in the American West and India, where I examine strategies of sustainability and development amidst profound social and environmental change. These pursuits and collaborations are part of the CU Denver Environment and Society Research Collective.
